Canada’s airports are critical public infrastructure, connecting our communities supporting our economy and providing good jobs for thousands of Canadians. The privatization of our airports could put these priorities at risk.

Privatization can lead to :

• Higher costs for travellers and airlines
• Less connectivity for rural, northern and smaller communities
• Less public control over critical Canadian infrastructure
• Fewer good jobs and the loss of experienced airport workers
• Greater pressure to maximize profits instead of reinvesting in our airports, workers and communities

Our airports should serve Canadians – not shareholders
