FUN AND FROLIC AT IAM LOCAL 1231’s ANNUAL SUMMER PICNIC!

It was that time of the year again, Summer-time, and as alway Local 1231, did it BIG! The Annual summer picnic was a roaring success – with great food, exciting games, a fabulous venue, prizes, surprises and much more.

The annual event was held on July 11, 2026 at the Jack Darling Memorial Park in Mississauga. It was well attended by Members of Local 1231 and their families. This was a wonderful way to celebrate, connect and show appreciation to our valued members for their hard work and dedication the whole year through.

Children and adults alike were seen enjoying at the Bouncy castle, the sack races, the ice cream truck and were treated to a sumptuous barbecue that catered to all tastes and food preferences.

IAM International Representative Kim Valliere, IAM Chief of Staff Canada Ralph Martin, International Representative – Political Action Derek Ferguson, GVP Confidential Secretary Magaly Fadel and IAM Canada Administrative Secretary Caroline Ramos also graced the occasion.

Special thank you to the volunteers and the Social Committee of Local 1231 who worked so hard to make this a ‘Day to remember.’
