The committee of Matt Barcicki, Cyriac Alias Roy, and Randy Jo were strong advocates for the membership.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>The group worked hard under the astute, resourceful guidance of IAM District 78\u2019s DBR Eric Johnston, to secure meaningful improvements that strengthen members\u2019 wages, benefits, and overall working conditions.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The new agreement delivers solid wage improvements and enhanced compensation opportunities, while also addressing important concerns around income stability, training, tools, and production incentives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The group continued to focus on their future, securing significant hikes to the technicians guaranteed minimums, while winning increases to the base salary of the service advisors to ensure the membership goes home with a pay check despite seasonal fluctuations in service work. The group also saw increases averaging 3% in each year of the agreement, which included improvements to tool allowances, training bonuses, and production bonuses. Further, the group won increases to the advisors base ensuring greater stability in their pay which is primarily based on a commission structure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This agreement reflects a committee that stayed focused on the future and on ensuring members are better positioned for success.<br><strong>Congratulations to the Thornhill Honda membership and bargaining committee on another IAM victory!<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Thornhill Honda members of Local 235 recently ratified a new collective agreement.
