The Ontario Coalition for Better Child Care is conducting a survey. The results of the survey will be used to produce a report on the state of child care in Ontario. We may quote you, but we will not use your name, just your city. There are a total of 25 questions. The survey should take 5 minutes. The survey can be taken online at:
The IAMAW has been an affiliate of the OCBCC for some time and we have been actively involved in trying to ensure that child care is affordable.
Are you a parent?
The International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers and the OCBCC wants to hear about your experiences with child care in Ontario.
Licensed child care in Ontario costs upward of $40-$60 per day, per child. There are only licensed spaces for 1 in 5 of Ontario’s children. In many municipalities, subsidy wait lists are incredibly long.
It doesn’t have to be this way. Be part of a movement of parents. Decision makers need to hear your stories about child care in Ontario
Get Involved
Take the survey online at:

This parent survey is being conducted by the Canadian Federation of Students and the Ontario Coalition for Better Child Care.

Ernie Giroux, the new communicator for the OPCM, received web site training as part of his new responsibility.
Frank Saptel and Manny Cresencia attend this session to train Ernie to be able to communicate with machinists in Ontario.
The training took place at District 78. We started at 10 am and went all day. Frank is a tough boss.
